Commodities distribution through the U.S.

Department of Agriculture's Emergency Food Assistance Program will take place Oct. 19 in Salina, Minneapolis and Bennington.

Families must meet low-income guidelines. All household members must provide proof of all monthly household income and valid identification. People also should provide sacks or boxes to carry food items.

Items to be distributed are carrots, dehydrated potatoes, corn and rice cereal, beef stew, cranberry sauce, grape and grapefruit juice and macaroni.

American Red Cross hosted distribution will be noon to 2 p.m. at the 4-H Building in Kenwood Park. Distribution will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Minneapolis and 4 to 6 p.m. at the United Church of Bennington in Bennington.
